First prize
Train a teacher, pay his or her salary and cover the other costs of running a school for a whole year. These small primary or pre-primary schools may be as simple as a mat under a tree, or a room in a home, yet they provide quality education to prepare children for government schools or vocational training (Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sudan, Zambia).
Second prize
With hives, a native bee colony and basic training, a community can start producing and selling honey - and making money. Bees also help pollinate families’ crops (India, Tanzania, Uganda).

The St Marks Ministry Centre

We’re all set to move and refurbish the ex-UNE Publications building to become the new ‘St Marks Ministry Centre’.

I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK...
A good handful of Chapel folk braved a cold Saturday morning as well as a chilly Monday afternoon to drop and cut up a few gumtrees to make way for the new St Marks Ministry Centre. Thanks to all involved for a great job!

Philippians is sometimes referred to as “the Epistle of Joy” – yet this is not precise enough to capture its depth and power. Certainly the “joy-rejoice” group of words occurs and power.
