BIG SMYG 2007

BIG SMYG 2007 a hoot!

Kicking off on Friday night, Year 7-10 kids piled into Chapel with what looked like all their possessions! Fast-forward 37 hours ..... these same kids were being picked up from MacDonalds needing matchsticks to hold their eyelids, yet each had a smile from ear to ear!

Big SMYG 2007, lived up to it's name. With world records set (well at least attempted), BIG SMYG in now etched into history.

No more need to be said - the photos say it all (see below).

Although so much fun was had, the weekend was focused around learning from God's Word, specifically Titus. We were challenged with the importance of godly living. On the Saturday afternoon session, with some fantastic (unique?) acting we looked at the relationship between:

1. The Saviour’s appearing, His saving act, His mercy

2. The washing - renewal – regeneration of the Holy Spirit

3. Our works / our justification / our eternal life.

This was a helpful time as we broke into groups and were again remind of Jesus’ complete work on our behalf.

To wrap up ..... BIG SMYG 2007,
Big fun weekend - where we grew in our knowledge and appreciation of our great Lord.
