Peter and Sally Cunningham - SIM (Serving in Mission)


Peter and Sally work with SIM (Society for International Ministries) in Maradi, Niger with the Maradi Integrated Development. They have two boys, Aaron and Steven.

Prayer points
  • For continuing success with the agricultural work and opportunities to glorify Christ.
  • For Aaron and Steven in their home schooling, also for Sally teaching them and juggling that with work responsibilities.
  • For the whole family as they are due to return to Australia in September 2010.
  • Give thanks for opportunities through their work to share the gospel.

David & Alisan Greef (CMS)

David and Alisan Greef with Etienne and Caris are in Northern Namibiaare living in Ongwediva in northern Namibia involved with TEE associated with the Namibia Evangelical Theological Seminary based in Windhoek . They produce a very informative web site www.greeff.blogspot.com   with lots of news and photos - great for kids as well.

Prayer points
  • Moving location from the Far North to Walvis Bay where David will be NETS Co-ordinator for three regions. Pray for a speedy adaption for the whole family to their new home. Also for David as he begins from scratch to build a network and establish study groups.
  • Give thanks for 4 happy years in the Far North.
  • Pray for those left to carry on the work there, especially for Jeke and Tuhafeni that they will quickly adapt to the work of coordinators in an ordered and systematic way.

Robert & Margaret Love (Wycliffe)


Robert and Margaret have been working for Wycliffe in PNG. They have one young son, Samuel. Robert is currently the Regional Director for Wycliffe in NSW.

Prayer Points
  • Give thanks that they are settling into life in Tamworth and getting used to their new routines.
  • Opportunities to present Wycliffe programs to churches in the surrounding country areas.
  • For all the travel to and from Sydney as they are still keep the office there functioning.  Pray for productive times in Sydney.

Judy Lund (CMS)

Judy is in Tanzania teaching in the Geography Department of the Christian university set up by the Anglican church in Tanzania. St John’s University will have a strategic ministry as many of the students will be the future leaders of Tanzania and the University is endeavouring to teach them from a Christian world view.

  • For God's continuing work in the student's lives in the ‘Towards a Christian Understanding of Geography' Course.
  • Give thanks that there has been a very positive response from 36 students in this optional course.
  • Pray for Judy as she departs Tanzania on 30 th July. Give thanks for the work she has done there this past year and pray for her as she attends to all the details that need to be finalised before she leave.

John and Helène Stambolie (TCZ)

John and Helène were members of St Mark’s while studying at UNE in 1992-93. They have 4 children, Andrew John, Estelle, Jamie and Ria. John is the Vice President of Administration and Finance for the Theological College of Zimbabwe (TCZ) in Bulawayo.

Karl and Lyn Weaich (Interserve)

Karl and Lyn Weaich with Xanthe, Daniel and Rebekah ( Interserve) and have been in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India since February 2008. They work with Freeset (http://freesetglobal.com/) which is a business venture that enables women to escape the sex trade and learn bag making skills to support themselves and their families. Derek and Anna with Liam are heading to Southeast Asia with a view to training local believers to reach out, within their own country, to some of the largest unreached people groups in the world.

HOPE Enterprises is a Christian organisation based in Addis Ababa and other regional centres with schools and vocational training centres. TEAR supports Christian groups in many parts of the world and is involved in advocacy in Australia on a range of social issues..

YoungLife Armidale

Young Life is an organisation that reaches out to secondary school teenagers in 40 countries around the world. In Armidale activities include Young Life and Wyld Life and the Youth Centre in Cinders Lane.

  • The clear proclamation of the gospel at each Club activity.
  • Brendan Hatte in his leadership role, also for the other members of staff.
  • For volunteer leaders to grasp the work and lead young people to Jesus.

Scripture Union is a volunteer movement aiming to work with churches so that people come to a personal faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, grow in Christian maturity and become both committed church members and servants of a world in need.

Diocese of North Kigezi

St Marks Chapel, along with our wider Armidale Anglican Diocese has a partnership with North Kigezi Diocese in far south western Uganda. The region is remote and poor and struggling to develop. Its natural environment has been cleared and replaced with eucalypts, bananas and grazing. It is heavily populated and over 60% are under the age of 20. The Church of Uganda remains a major social influence with 45% claiming allegiance. These factors combine to present many challenges to the church there.

St Marks support has mainly been directed towards ...

As well as sharing in Chapel's Mission's Support Budget, further contributions can be made through the collection (clearly marked) or via direct debit and a team is being formed to carry out ongoing fundraising - stand by!

The Bible Society’s mission is to provide the Word of God to all people, in their own language, in a format they can use and at a price they can afford. The Bible Society is involved in over 780 translation projects worldwide providing God's Word in over 14 different formats and distributing over 1.5 million Scriptures worldwide daily

Anglican Counselling Service

The Anglican Counselling Service, an activity of the Armidale Diocese, provides counselling services over a range of different areas. It receives some government funding (often tied to specific programs eg gambling or financial counselling), but relies on donations and other sources to provide its services. There are 3 counsellors in the Armidale area.

Scripture in Schools

Infants and Primary Schools in Armidale have a team of volunteers teaching Scripture each week. Seminars are also held in the High Schools.
