Peter and Sally Cunningham - SIM (Serving in Mission)


Peter and Sally work with SIM (Society for International Ministries) in Maradi, Niger with the Maradi Integrated Development. They have two boys, Aaron and Steven. They have recently returned to Maradi after being on furlough in Australia.

Prayer points
  • The family’s readjustment to life in Niger and coping with the demands on their time.
  • Aaron and Steven in adjusting to changes in their daily lives and a return to home schooling.

David & Alisan Greef (CMS)

David and Alisan Greef   are living in Ongwediva in northern Namibia involved with TEE associated with the Namibia Evangelical Theological Seminary based in Windhoek . They produce a very informative web site www.greeff.blogspot.com   with lots of news and photos - great for kids as well.

  • Safety for David travelling to visit students.
  • Alisan and the children, particularly when David is away.
  • Someone to help Alisan with home schooling.

Robert & Margaret Love (Wycliffe)


Robert and Margaret have been working for Wycliffe in PNG. They have one young son, Samuel. Robert is currently the Regional Director for Wycliffe in NSW.

Prayer Points
  • Give thanks for the new translations completed in the past year, especially the Kriol Bibul..
  • Robert and Margaret as they speak about the work of Wycliffe, Bible translation and the Gospel.
  • More key leaders and volunteers to help, as NSW is a very big state for just four full-time staff.
  • Translation work and the spread of the Gospel in PNG, the NT and elsewhere.

Judy Lund (CMS)

Judy has recently returned from Tanzania where she taught for a semester at St John's University of Tanzania at Dodoma . She plans on returning for a year next September

  • Safety and encouragement for her deputation work starting in May.
  • That God will continue to guide her and CMS regarding her future work.
  • Time to prepare herself for her return to Tanzania.

Ian and Meg Hazelton (SIM)

Ian and Meg have now finished their time at Moshi in Tanzania , where Ian  worked as a pastor to students at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre and Meg assisted in nurse education and women's ministry.

  • Thanks for completion of Jacob's Well (the Student Centre) and that it will be a blessing to the students.
  • The ongoing student ministry at KCMC.
  • Wisdom as they consider their future activities.

John and Helène Stambolie (TCZ)

John and Helène were members of St Mark’s while studying at UNE in 1992-93. They have 4 children, Andrew John, Estelle, Jamie and Ria. John is the Vice President of Administration and Finance for the Theological College of Zimbabwe (TCZ) in Bulawayo.

After working for many years in the Middle East Karl and Lyn have moved to South Asia to join a business working in the Red Light district in a major city.

TEAR & HOPE ENTERPRISES


HOPE Enterprises is a Christian organisation based in Addis Ababa and other regional centres with schools and vocational training centres. TEAR supports Christian groups in many parts of the world and is involved in advocacy in Australia on a range of social issues..

YoungLife Armidale

Young Life is an organisation that reaches out to secondary school teenagers in 40 countries around the world. In Armidale activities include Young Life and Wyld Life and the Youth Centre in Cinders Lane.

Diocese of North Kigezi

As part of the development of links between the Diocese of Armidale and the Diocese of North Kigezi in Uganda a team from St Mark's visited North Kigezi in 2007. David Morgan and a small group travelled in January 2008 to speak at their first big youth conference. This year we have just had a visit from Bishop Muhima and his wife for a two week mission.

Bible Society

The Bible Society’s mission is to provide the Word of God to all people, in their own language, in a format they can use and at a price they can afford. The Bible Society is involved in over 780 translation projects worldwide providing God's Word in over 14 different formats and distributing over 1.5 million Scriptures worldwide daily

Anglican Counselling Service

The Anglican Counselling Service, an activity of the Armidale Diocese, provides counselling services over a range of different areas. It receives some government funding (often tied to specific programs eg gambling or financial counselling), but relies on donations and other sources to provide its services. There are 3 counsellors in the Armidale area.

Scripture in Schools

Infants and Primary Schools in Armidale have a team of volunteers teaching Scripture each week. Seminars are also held in the High Schools.
